Artlands 2021 enables an exchange to find ways that enhance a creative ecosystem which is interconnected and integrated across Australian art forms, across Australian communities and across Australian landscapes.
Artlands is a national biennial event presented by Regional Arts Australia and hosted by a regional venue. This year Red Earth Arts Precinct, in partnership with Regional Arts Australia, is hosting Artlands as the WA Regional Hub.
The Artlands 2021 program will offer a series of critical narratives across industry, research and academia that reflect current emerging trends and case studies as well as respond to challenges and opportunities experienced throughout regional Australian arts practice.
Artlands 2021: The Space Between will become five regional ‘in-person’ gatherings, held together by the digital infrastructure that also allows for at-home viewing. All sessions in the digital program will be streamed live and can be attended at one of the regional hubs in TAS, QLD, NT, WA or SA.
Artlands 2021 invites us ‘to come together’ to explore the space between. To encourage process and exchange and find ways to support a creative ecosystem that is interconnected and integrated across art form, across communities and across landscapes.
